For years, Brunetti has taught cartooning at Columbia College Chicago. He is the author of numerous books, including Cartooning: Philosophy and Practice and Aesthetics: A Memoir.

Comics: Easy As ABC! with Ivan Brunetti
​Make your own comics and learn cartooning basics to create your own comic book. Join Ivan Brunetti, author of Comics: Easy As ABC! The Essential Guide to Comics for Kids for simple and fun exercises playing with lines and shapes, to help you design and draw characters, faces, animals, props, and settings, and to develop starting points to spark your own stories. Ages 7 & up.

This event will be followed by a half hour book signing.

Location: NYU Tandon School of Engineering – 5 Metrotech Center, 4th Floor

Come watch, laugh and cheer as talented artists Ruth Chan (The Great Indoors) and Lucy Ruth Cummins (Truman) preside over the year’s most dynamic live action drawing competition featuring illustrators Elisha Cooper (River), Jessie Sima (Spencer’s New Pet), Jerry Craft (New Kid), Ivan Brunetti (Comics: Easy as ABC), Yuko Katakawa (Let’s Scare Bear), Esmé Shapiro (Alma and the Beast), Nina Mata (She’s Got This), and more!
