March 31st, 2019 - FINAL REPORT FOR 2019 Conditions North of HWY 130 (U) Past 24 hours: 0" Inches Past 7 Days: 3-6" Inches Current Base: ~8' Feet South of HWY 130 (U) Past 24 hours: 0" Inches Past 7 Days: 2-4" Inches Current Base: ~6' Feet Summary Spring time in the Snowies! Had a storm roll through Friday putting down 4-8" throughout the mountain, followed by sun. Guests up riding Saturday said it settled in most areas pretty quick, but that you could get in the trees and find 6-8" powder. Another few possibilities over the next week of some new snow. NOTE TO OUR READERS This will be our last weekly emailed report for the 2019 season. We will continue to post updates on storms as they happen through our Facebook page. The Old Corral Steakhouse is now CLOSED for the Spring season with plans to reopen May 16th for the Summer season. Rates & Availability Forecast for Medicine Bow Peak at 12,000' Next 3 days: A moderate fall of snow, heaviest on Tue night with a 3 day accumulation estimate of 5-10". Temperatures will be below freezing (max 23°F on Tue morning, min 10°F on Sun morning). Moderate winds from 20-30 MPH. 3-6 Days: A dusting of new snow. Temperatures will be below freezing (max 28°F on Fri afternoon, min 18°F on Wed night). Winds decreasing (near gales from the W on Wed night, moderate winds from the WSW by Sat morning). Rider Reports 3/22/2019 - Spring riding as usual. Heavy/wet snow pretty much everywhere we went. Got into a few tree lines that felt softer, but had to search for them. Hope this next storm pans out as next weekend is possibly our last for the season and would love to go out with a Spring dump! 3/16/2019 - Pretty good snow in the trees and North slope of the range...like 3 feet and still powdery. In the more open/higher areas the sun and light winds were starting to make it that heavy/wet hero snow...which is still fun and great with the newbies we had along. By first/mid part of the coming week, if the sun stays out, it'll probably be mostly settled with maybe the trees being an exception. Have a more recent report or some pictures?!
