Thank You Wildflower Riders, Volunteers, and Sponsors!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Chico Wildflower Century Ride on April 24th! Hosted by Chico Velo for over 40 years, the Wildflower is an iconic local event that brings hundreds of visitors and positive economic activity to Butte County... and it's a BLAST! The event was a true success with 2,030 registered riders, over 200 volunteers, and 35 sponsors. Having the support of riders, volunteers, and sponsors allowed us to confidently host the Wildflower after a difficult two-year pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Wildflower would be impossible without your help. Your contribution, in any form, helps us keep this tradition alive and achieve our mission driven programs and advocacy goals. Our mission is to promote bicycling for transportation, recreation and health through public education, advocacy, and community stewardship.

Many riders contributed a separate donation to our cause when they registered and we are so grateful for that support. If you'd like to join others and make a donation, click the button below.

Use Your Voice for Butte County Bike & Pedestrian Issues

Picture

Please take a few moments to share your input through the Butte County Public Health Bicycle and Pedestrian Program survey at the button below.

Butte County Public Health has played a pivotal role in bicycle and pedestrian safety throughout the county for the last 8+ years and is preparing for continuation of an Active Transportation Program Grant to help them continue their work with the community's wants and needs at the core.

In the last few years, they have conducted virtual and in-class lessons and presentations, hosted bicycle rodeos, helped agencies write grants and active transportation plans, tabled at various community events, and distributed hundreds of helmets, bike lights, and educational materials. Be involved in the conversation and take the survey before May 27th.
