A Tibetan Buddhist Centre in the Sakya Tradition

Issue 60 November 2021

Dear Dharma friends,

As we near the end of 2021, we pray you are all well, safe and continually endeavouring to incorporate the precious Buddhadharma into your everyday lives, not just for oneself but for all around you and for all mother sentient beings to experience the truth of everlasting happiness. We can learn so much about impermanence from this year that’s held much sorrow, yet also new beginnings. Khenpo la has tirelessly brought the precious dharma to us, even more so through online platforms, with regular Sunday Shamatha meditation practice from his residence and Shantideva’s teachings on The Bodhicaryavatara over our winter here in Australia.

Khenpo la brings us to laughter often and expressed jokingly of his multiple talents developed during lockdown – from filming himself in teachings on Zoom and Facebook, working hard on the tech side, from sound issues to whatever decided to arise in that moment. This amongst offering the most profound teachings for us all to learn, grow, contemplate, and meditate together. We are eternally grateful, Khenpo la, in all lifetimes for you being our spiritual guide and spiritual friend always.

On behalf of Khenpo la and the entire sangha of Drogmi Buddhist Institute we wish all of you, your families and beyond an incredibly joyous and happy holiday season ahead, to enjoy every moment we have together, to live as virtuously as we can with true joy and mostly to share our kindness and compassion to all beings we encounter whenever possible. We also hope you enjoy the read of experiences many have had over the last period, and look forward to seeing you at Kamalashila Tibetan Buddhist Centre in 2022!

Yours in the dharma
