Public Comments Needed to Shut Down Line 5

Oil & Water Don’t Mix and the Michigan League of Conservation Voters are just two organizations who are leading the way to shut down the Enbridge Line 5 oil pipeline. Help prevent a Great Lakes oil spill disaster and force action on climate change by submitting a comment to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and ask them to do a complete environmental impact review of the proposed Great Lakes Tunnel.

ICDP Welcomes Justice Richard Bernstein

The ICDP turned out for Justice Bernstein on Sunday, September 4.  Without commenting on specific cases, he explained how important keeping Democrats to balance the court is for major issues such as women's freedom, voter protection, school safety, and Line 5.  He urged those present to be sure to vote on both sides of the ballot to find the non-partisan candidates for the Supreme Court and other items.

On Sunday August 14, 2022 the Iosco County Democratic Party held a meet the candidates picnic in East Tawas City Park on Tawas Bay. The picnic was attended by over 50 people and Dr Bob Lorinser MI 1st Congressional District candidate was the featured speaker. He has moved his candidacy to within striking distance of defeating his incumbent opponent. Joel Sheltrown State Senate candidate outlined his goals in serving as State Senator.  Ken Kish shared his story of how he came to run for 99th District State Representative and how he’s in it to win it.
