Meet #1 Performance

Picture

Team 7373

On Saturday, October 19, Team 7373 competed at their first league meet. Here, they were able to meet new teams in the league and make connections for the season. In competition, the robot performed well, with each system running consistently throughout all six matches. This allowed the team to end the day in first place with five wins and only one loss. The team hopes to continue to improve their robot as they prepare for the next meet.

Team 11364

On October 19, Team 11364 had their first robotics meet. At the meet, they won three matches and lost three. Halfway through, they realized that almost everyone who won a match moved the foundation out of the build zone in the end game. They adjusted the game strategy to move the foundation and managed to win the last three, landing them in fifth place.

Robot Update

Currently, the Team 7373 robot is in well prepared for the next meet. Right now, the team is taking measures to improve their speed. Speed is vital in this year’s robot game and this addition will improve Team 7373’s robot performance at the next competition. Additionally, the team is working on improving the intake so that it grabs blocks more efficiently.

During the time between the next meet and last meet, Team 11364 has been working through autonomous improvements as well as driver practice. Their goal is to have a robot that can pick up a block in autonomous and drag it to the build plate. They are continually improving their robot and team performance every day

Celebrating Manufacturing Day

with Win-Tech, Inc.

Members of Eagle Robotics were so grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate Manufacturing Day at Win-Tech! They learned about various fabrication techniques that ranged from water jets to electrical corrosion. All of the team members were very impressed with the scale of operations at Win-Tech and how they maintain excellent business practices and communication with their employees. Eagle Robotics was excited for the opportunity to learn and they are looking forward to bringing their findings back and implementing them into their team!

Upcoming Events

League Meet #2

Our next league meet will occur on Saturday, November 9 at Darlington School in Rome, Georgia. Matches will begin at 11:00 AM. Teams will also be doing a practice judging session during the day. We would love to see you there!

Outreach at Ridenour Adventure Center

Monday, November 11, team members will be heading to Ridenour Adventure Center to carry out a STEM workshop! Ridenour Adventure Center is a local after school care center. Student-led stations will teach these kids about everything from electrical systems to binary programming. We are excited about this opportunity to invest in people in the community, just as many people have invested in us. This is our second year of partnering with Ridenour, and we are looking forward to it!
