Sacred Hearts School' Ohana,

Mahalo to St. Marianne House parent leader Laurie DeGama, parent volunteers, and sponsors for a safe and successful 2nd Annual Family Fun Night Drive Thru. Mahalo Luis Barreno, 8th grade parent, for the Sacred Hearts School - Family Fun Night 2021 video. See the House System section for a second look at the amazing event. Please take the time to look at the September/October section for changes to the calendar.

We are relaunching The Brick Legacy Campaign. The Brick Legacy Walk, a campaign that initially began in 2013 to celebrate the school's 150th Anniversary, continues today as a way to leave a lasting legacy. The bricks are in the Sacred Hearts School courtyard. Proceeds from the Bricks will help grow the HEARTS, Annual Fund. The Fall Campaign will run from September 2, 2021, to November 26, 2021. Bricks ordered in this campaign will arrive just in time for the Holidays! See the "Admissions & Development" section for campaign information.

Sacred Hearts School is blessed with families who share of their time, talents, and treasures to make a difference in the lives of our students. Mahalo Brandon Arnds (Tropic Waters) and Ingrid Arnds (Coco Lou Salon) for donating 20 brand new ukuleles for our Hawaiiana music program. Mahalo Lahaina Music for also helping to make this possible. Let the sound of music fill the air and lift our spirits!

The Frank De Lima Student Enrichment Program provides vital guidance to Hawai`i's public and private elementary and middle/intermediate school students on the development of positive attitudes and values during their maturational process. The students wrote thank you cards for the life lessons and laughter he shared with them.

We are seeing a number of students come to the office for a mask when they arrive at school. Students must have a mask on when coming to school in the morning. Thank you for your support and let us continue to work together and pray for the safety and success of our school community.

Sincerely in Christ,

Mrs. Tonata Lolesio

We Are Relaunching The Brick Legacy Campaign!

"I visit my brick at school when I feel homesick,” quotes a kindergartener fondly of his brick that reads “I Love You More…” after his favorite bedtime book.

This brick and others just as special are located in the Sacred Hearts School courtyard and are known as the Brick Legacy Walk, a campaign that originally began in 2013 to celebrate the school's 150th  Anniversary and continues on today as a way for anyone to be able to leave a lasting legacy. Proceeds from the Bricks will go to help grow the HEARTS Annual Fund. The Fall Campaign will run from Friday September 2, 2021 to Friday November 26th 2021. Bricks ordered in this campaign will arrive just in time for the Holidays!

This Sunday’s Readings

Feeling Jealous? Ordinary Time 25B (Catholic Kids Media)

"As you gather as a family, recall a recent family argument about household chores or an example of bickering among family members. Talk about what was at issue in the argument. Together imagine that Jesus entered the room just as the argument ended. What would you tell Jesus your argument was about? What might Jesus say in reply? Read together today's Gospel, Mark 9:30-37. How was your family argument like the argument among Jesus’ disciples? What might your family do to remember that those who are great in God’s kingdom are those who willingly serve others? Pray together that your family life will reflect your commitment to serve one another with love. Pray Saint Ignatius of Loyola’s Prayer for Generosity."
