2021-2022 sacred hearts school prayer

Pastor, fr. Kuriakose

As we begin the 2021-2022 school year together let us acknowledge the Blessings and protection  of the Almighty God during the last academic year. You can be certain that Sacred Hearts  will always put our Lord and the health and safety of our community first. The Covid-19 pandemic has created many uncertainties. The school may look different this year, with more outdoor space  created. This helps us to prioritize the spiritual, physical, and emotional health and safety of students, families, faculty, and staff. We continue to provide excellent Catholic instruction.

We remember how St Marianne practiced the words of Jesus telling us always to embrace “Nothing is impossible there are ways which lead to everything.” I would like to thank our parents, families, faculty, and staff for their willingness to remain with Sacred Hearts  and accept the opportunity to stay behind the educational experience.

This is also a God given opportunity to all the catholic parents to register their children for religious education and bringing them for Sunday mass and other religious activities and encouraging them to grow in faith. Despite the challenges we may face, I am confident that we will have an enriching year full of growth. Remembering Jesus’ words “…Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (Jn: 14 :27). May the Sacred Heart of Jesus protect and Bless us.

PRINCIPAl, Tonata LOLESIO

Sacred Hearts School ‘Ohana,

I am grateful for the hard work of many, from faculty, staff, and parents, who gave their time, talent, and treasures to once again, safely reopen Sacred Hearts School for the 2021-2022 school year.

Thank you, returning parents, for entrusting Sacred Hearts School with your children and supporting our mission, traditions, and legacy. I also want to take this time to welcome all new families. Sacred Hearts is committed to carrying out the school's mission and goals of forming the whole person, body, mind, and soul. I am delighted you chose Sacred Hearts and look forward to this new journey with your 'ohana.

Congratulations to our Ke Kula Kamali'i Pu'uwai La'a, Early Learning Center and Director, Ms. Vanessa Brovelli, and ELC faculty. This year marks the 20th year of providing exceptional early childhood education!

We continue to experience the challenges of our current situation, and I appreciate your partnership to reinforce school health and safety guidelines in school and at home. Together we can make a difference and continue to keep our school 'ohana and community safe.

Let us continue to ask for the prayers of St. Damien of Moloka'i, St. Marianne Cope, St. Joseph, and the intercession of Our Lady of Victory, Maria Lanakila. May our families be blessed with health, peace, and happiness throughout this school year.

Sincerely in Christ,

Mrs. Tonata Lolesio

hearts council

Picture

Hearts Council members serve their School, Parish & West Maui Community. Meetings are on Thursdays from 2:15 - 3:00 in the St. Marianne Hall.

Hearts Council members are elected to represent all of the students at our school. They are held to high standards and must keep up with their grades throughout the year and follow each and every rule of the school. They are role models for their fellow student body.

Each member received a lei, a reminder of their commitment to carry out their duties as an officer of the school. Jesus Christ is the Light of the World and the ultimate role model for each of them. The Holy Spirit will guide them and help them follow Jesus’ path as they begin their term of office. Each member is an important part of the school team and as followers of Christ, they are to be a reflection of His Light and His Leadership.
