Mid-Year Review

Is this what summer feels like? In the midst of an unprecedented heatwave across the state, we’ve continued in our efforts each month to remain on the ground visible and present in communities across the metroplex. As we approach the second half of 2022, we pause to reflect on what we have accomplished these last six months.

To date we have served 528 individuals with resources to both save and support lives in an effort to address late-stage breast cancer incidents and mortality rates. We have participated in 12 events - including 4 events we directly hosted. We have created a brand-new focus initiative called, Caring Conversations beginning August 2022 and concluding by April 2023. Our Mammogram Matter Health Initiative has expanded into additional targeted areas across Tarrant County. BarbaraCares was also named the recipient of several grants and... we have hired a new Community Outreach Coordinator to support our growing capacity!

This second half of the year promises to bring new outreach opportunities, more lives we can impact, and continued growth for the organization. We invite you to join in our efforts as a volunteer, an ambassador of change, or as a financial supporter to help us continue to reach the people.
