second harvest food drive

November 5-9th

The Ormondale 2018 Second Harvest Food Drive is coming up soon! This year it's November 5th-9th!  Before the drive, students will meet with their school "families" to decorate paper bags to take home and fill with food to donate to the Second Harvest Food Bank. We hope you will send your Ormondale student with a bag full of food to donate during our food drive week!  Last week we earned a bronze award from Second Harvest for our collection efforts -- lets beat that this year!

Bins will be available outside of the Ormondale office for donations 11/5-11/9 and we'll have volunteers during car line drop off to help as well.  If you'd like to help, please contact Milana McCullagh ([email protected]).

HOW TO GET INVOLVED TO PASS MEASURE Z FOR OUR KIDS!

As you can see from all of the lawn signs that are popping up around the community, the Measure Z campaign is in full swing!

The Almanac recently published an article and gave Measure Z an editorial endorsement - very positive coverage, and the article provides a nice summary of project costs.

IMPORTANT:  Remember to vote YES on Z by mail!  This election will be conducted entirely by mail—even if you normally vote at the polls, you must cast your vote by mail in this election. You should receive your ballot in the mail in the next week.

Measure Z is at the very end of the ballot!  Remember to go to the end, vote YES on Z for PVSD and mail it back right away.  Every single YES vote counts!

To learn more or to get involved: Go to www.YESonZforPVSD.com or contact Anne Fazioli-Khiari at [email protected].

anti-anxiety/exec function coaching that works!

This generation of students has proven to be one of the most anxiety-ridden populations especially here in "pressure-cooker" Silicon Valley. It affects working memory and ability to truly process information and other Executive Function abilities. With pressures in sports, academia and even social, it is imperative to adopt a way of life that yields a good system for managing anxiety and preventing challenges to self regulation, learning and problem solving. Please email for a complimentary session!!! All workshops taught by a state certified therapeutic expert in Executive Function and Anxiety Reduction.
