Time flies when you are having fun! Looks like our members are having fun in spite of the pandemic. More families and young golfers are playing. Great for the game of golf.
I was on the course the other day and I noticed many divots. Remember we didn’t have a work day in April. Traditionally on work day the fairway divots are filled with lots of sand and seed. Please remember when you make a divot fill it with sand and seed and other neighboring divots too. There is plenty of sand and seed in the container by hole #1. The greens have recently been aerated and are healing. When on the greens fix your ball marks and neighboring balls marks too.
Now that most golfers are riding in their own carts, the course is getting a beating. Please remember to stay on provided carts paths! There are areas on the course that are not in good shape due to dryness and winter kill. The grounds crew will be sodding some areas. But you can do your part in helping the course recover.
Men’s and women’s day and leagues have started. Yahoo! The Men’s Member guest tournament in on schedule to start on June 12th. With all of our fun play, remember our course has many residents close by. Be respectful on their property and use proper language and demeanor.
The board is working on replacing the bathroom on #5. This will be happening! There is a proposal in the foyer for changes to #7. The board is looking for comments. The bathrooms on #14 now have locks. Look for the posted code. (Easy to remember, the par on holes #10,11,12,13) A new AC system has been installed in the kitchen and pro shop. Should make working in those areas more tolerable in the summer months.
The tree on the #5 planted in Kyle McBride’s memory has been replaced. Guess he didn’t like the first one!
The board election closed June 1st. We will know the results soon.
