Summary

Windy and snowy start to last week with good powder, but terrible winds, through Wednesday. By Thursday the storms had stopped, but the winds continued...by the weekend the powder that was there was blown into the more protected areas or created a crust like layer in most open areas. Still have decent reports coming back from those that stayed in the trees/wind protected areas. But everywhere else is pretty well wind settled. New snow in the forecast for later this week (starting Wednesday night) with estimates from 6-12" by Friday night.

Rider Reports

2/9/2019 - Good base, but tough to find any decent powder. Most everywhere we went around Med. Bow Peak was wind settled or crusty layers. Need some fresh!

2/9/2019 - Great conditions for the group we had this week (some newbies). But realistically only 6-12" most places we went on the North side. When I personally got into the trees, it was maybe 16-ish". Won't ever argue with the calmer winds and great visibility in the Snowies though!

2/2/2019 - Nice day with great visibility and no wind...but the powder you needed to search a bit for. Our best luck was in the trees on the backside of the mountain where we could get into around a foot of powder. Decent, but not powder bound. Hope next weeks wave comes out good for you guys!

1/26/2019 - EPIC! Chest deep powder without having to search hard for it. Wind chill has been pretty brutal as well as visibility, but once we were in the trees and out of the wide openings it was great. Wind was already starting to wind pack/drift in some areas. But still 90% AWESOME! Thanks guys, love your reports!
