The Importance of Self Care
Hello caregivers and community members. Happy New Year!
This week I’d like to take a moment to remind all of us of the importance of self-care.
Ask yourself, “what does self-care mean to me?” Schedule some time to reflect on ways to take care of your emotional, mental, and physical needs. Integrate protected time into your daily schedule for the purpose of improving your overall wellbeing. This is essential to avoid burnout and to continue to thrive in all aspects of your life.
Some ideas include a walk or hike outside, a phone call or meal with a friend, or a much needed nap. Whatever you need, please ensure that you take time for yourself.
