Another golf season has come to pass. 2019 season was great.
Many projects were accomplished. Bart and crew rewired the irrigation system on number 3 for individual head control. This will help for even watering of wet and dry spots. The solar tube lights in the bathroom on 14 make it light inside! The bunkers are better with reshaping and new sand. The sand storage area is complete, thanks to Cooper Construction, Bart, and donated funds. Several bridges have been repaired. The new blower is working and doing its job with the leaves and debris.

Our next big project is replacing the bathroom on number 5. We have a good start to donated funds. Thank you to the Women’s association for their generous donation. Leonard Bay is in the process of the beginning plans.
The Jerome Country Club’s handicap committee has arranged a seminar explaining the new 2020 world wide handicap system on November 12, 1-3pm at the JCC. Caleb Cox from the IGA will be presenting. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Our annual Country Club meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd at 6:00 at the Jerome Country Club. Postcards with meeting information will be in the mail soon.

In 2020 the handicap system will change to a worldwide connected system. A team from the Idaho golf Association will hold a handicap seminar at JCC.

The Idaho Golf Association Handicap System will finish the Score Posting Season in Mid November. We will be recording scores for handicaps thru November 14th in Idaho. Those of you who play rounds in southern associations in the winter will continue to post scores in the winter.

We are making arrangements for the February Mesquite Golf Trip:
February 2nd to the 6th.
Golf on the 3rd 4th 5th and 6th. The cost includes motel rooms for 4 nights.

The golfshop will be open thru November.
The golf course will open at 9:00 if the conditions (frost) allow in November.
There will still be some great days to play golf. The course is in beautiful condition thanks to Bart and the Maintenance Crew. Golf at the Jerome Country Club is a great way to spend a beautiful autumn afternoon.
