| Monthly Newsletter: October 2023 What is happening at Rock Hollow Woods? Join us on Saturday, October 28th for our Fall Family Fun Day ! Enjoy the great outdoors together while hiking through beautiful Rock Hollow Woods in the autumn season. Participants will enjoy hiking our trails and listening to ghost tales shared by professional storyteller Deborah Pieri, a retired elementary educator with a Masters of Arts in Oral Tradition. After the storytelling, each family will receive a pumpkin to carve together. Families can then explore and play in the area nearby while participating in fall games and crafts. Registration for Toddler Time on the Trail (now on TUESDAYS TOO!), Afterschool Adventurers Nature Club , and Homeschool Happenings are OPEN ! These programs fill up fast so register today. October is here, which means registration opens today for our holiday programs! *Holiday and Christmas Creations (2nd - 12th graders) *Family Winter Wonderland with Santa (a.m. AND p.m. time slots) **NEW THIS YEAR - Holiday Creations Workshop for ADULTS! Space is limited for these popular programs, so make sure to register soon! In September we enjoyed a variety of educational programs. UGI Utilities Inc. generously donated $5,000 to Rock Hollow Woods!! Thank you for the gifts that are being used at Rock Hollow Woods: Mike Kaufman and Dr. Debbie Patt. Thank you for the amazing volunteers who help at Rock Hollow Woods: ~Greg Knapp, Bill and Billy McKay, and Jim McCarney for cleaning up the Catalpa tree after it fell. ~Dennis Baker, Bill and Billy McKay, Jim McCarney, and Dan Wert for setting up a light pole for the new parking lot. ~Dr. Debbie for assisting and engaging with children during Toddler Time on the Trail and working so hard on research for the Please Touch Museum. ~PA OneCall for selecting Rock Hollow Woods as the nonprofit organization recipient for the funds raised during their Golf Classic tournament.
