What is happening at Rock Hollow Woods?

Thanks to all of the curious minds and smiling faces that joined us for our events in February. Animal Extravaganza (pictured above) and Toddler Time Winter Workshop (pictured below) were successful and ran so smoothly because of wonderful presenters like Travis from Eyes of the Wild and the MANY generous volunteers that helped throughout the day!

“Take a walk with a turtle. And behold the world in pause.”

Join us for our new program, Turtle Talk and Habitat Hike on Saturday, April 25th from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm. A presentation about turtles will be given using turtle artifacts and live turtles. Following the presentation, participants will take a hike to explore Rock Hollow Woods and look for suitable habitats for turtles. This is an event for the whole family or for children in 2nd through 12th grades that may be dropped off and picked up.

Camp Innovate gives youth campers a week full of hands on problem solving and out of the box solution execution! Using big imaginations and collaborating with others, campers will consider a number of environmental problems and tackle them with creative and innovative thinking.

A chance for our younger adventurers to enjoy Rock Hollow Woods, this camp is offered for Kindergarteners and 1st graders in June this summer. Through exploration, observation and hands on experiences, campers learn about the natural world and then express their learning through art and writing.

​Toddler Time on the Trail Camp
Watch the magic of experiencing Rock Hollow Woods through the eyes of a small child. Toddlers have a powerful curiosity that thrives in nature. This camp meets four consecutive mornings and gives toddlers and their caregivers a chance to take a short hike, read stories, and enjoy free play. Sign up for either or both of the sessions in June.
