New Pre-Service Dementia Training Option

We are excited to announce the launch of our self-paced, on-demand, 2.5-hour Pre-Service Dementia Training. 

Pre-Service Dementia Training is a required training for all licensees and staff working in an APD-licensed adult foster care home in Oregon. Our training has been approved by DHS for 2.5 CEUs (3.0 CEUs starting 1/1/22) and is approved for all AFHs in Oregon.

Highlights of our training

Self-paced

  • You set your schedule and pace to finish the work, and the time commitment is 2.5 - 3 hours.

Flexible 

  • You can log in at any time of the day, and you can complete the training on any device, including a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. ​

Purchasing a home to start your adult foster care home business is one of the largest investments you’ll make.​

What you don't know about the home could literally cost you. If you’re looking to open an adult foster home, we strongly encourage you to have an adult foster care home pre-purchase inspection to make sure you're making a good investment.

We provide this service in partnership with our sister business, Care Construction NW. 

Our pre-purchase inspection includes:

  • Inspection of the home to determine if it's a good fit to be converted into an adult foster home based on layout and adult foster home requirements.

  • Consultation on feasibility and options for remodeling the home for accessibility.

  • Review of permit history to determine if there will be any issues with unpermitted work, as this is one of the biggest issues we are now seeing.

  • Report of recommendations based on adult foster home requirements, building code, and remodeling options.
