| Hello from velo! It's 2021 & we are pedaling on 2021 Wildflower Announcement The 2021 Wildflower will be a two-week-long virtual event extravaganza! This year, we're doing it your way! Socially distanced life has highlighted the importance of getting outdoors, phasing safely back into the real world, and spring just wouldn't be the same without Chico Velo's Wildflower. We miss seeing all your faces and sharing good times and good food with you all. So to stay connected, keep moving and have a little fun, we’re doing things different this year. With your support in 2021, a little luck and lots of planning, we look forward to hosting you once again for our traditional Wildflower weekend in 2022. In a time that feels less than normal, we're designing our efforts with inclusivity at the forefront. We're rolling out two full weeks to get involved with the Chico Velo Wildflower. From April 26th to May 9th you can choose the option that makes sense for you, and get moving. Because, there is no wrong way to recreate and we'll be doing it with you! Option 1: The Adventurer Dust off those trail runners, buckle up that fanny pack, lace up those skates or pump up those tires. These two weeks, we're all about getting outside. We want to give you the encouragement you need to carve out some hours and enjoy the abundance of beauty around us. | Registration $35.00 Option 2: The Scavenger Get your crew together, from the kiddos to the road dogs, and embark on the journey. Sometimes all we need is a reminder to keep looking for the treasures around us. This scavenger hunt is designed to show you the sites you shouldn't miss or go a while without seeing. Clip on your helmets and find out what lies ahead! | Registration $45.00 Option 3: The Enthusiast We're releasing our secrets! Whether you're a Wildflower pro or new to this epic local event, it's all here. Ride a traditional Wildflower route above the 30-mile threshold or something equivalent. We've made it easy to to get the same feel of a century ride so you can go solo or with a friend! | Registration $55.00 Registration Opens February 8th Keep your eyes peeled for another message from us on February 8th. Please plan to pre-register! Pre-registering will help us in our ability to nail this legacy event -- virtually. Each option includes limited special edition 40th Anniversary Wildflower merch, local prizes, and ways you can join us on social platforms to collectively encourage our community to get outside! Our Team is Growing Please join us in welcoming, Danielle Baxter, to the new role of Events and Outreach Coordinator at Chico Velo! You may recognize Danielle from her work at Butte Environmental Council and events like the Chico Bicycle Music Festival. Alongside the leadership of our Executive Director, Danielle will be implementing her skills to take Velo's events and community engagement to the next level.
