Amazing Chinese Acrobats Visit CMS

On Tuesday, CMS was treated to a school wide assembly featuring truly amazing Chinese Acrobats!  The students were awed by their seemingly impossible feats of strength and balance.  Ask your kids about the hula-hoops and see if they’re interested in getting a diabolo (Chinese yo-yo) for themselves.   Thank you to the PTO for funding cultural assemblies like this.

THANK YOU CMS VOLUNTEER CREW!

We had a great time at CMS Volunteer Crew last Sunday! Over 30 parents and kids arrived early and were eager to work. Litter was picked up, manzanitas were pruned, coat hooks were tidied, lunch tables rearranged and much more! We had a beautiful sunny day for putting a little extra sparkle around the campus and enjoying each other's company.

Thank you to everyone who was able to join!

MOUNTAIN CAMP

Making the world a better place by positively impacting campers and staff though the camp experience.

For the past four years, Mountain Camp Woodside has partnered with the Stanford University Graduate School of Education and Challenge Success to study how participation in our summer camp provides children with opportunities to develop critical 21st century learning skills. The results have been overwhelmingly positive and confirm what we have always believed - camp provides outstanding opportunities for kids to practice empathy, creative problem solving, personal responsibility, self-control, perseverance, teamwork and communication.

We encourage you to take a few minutes to watch this VIDEO to learn more about why camp is such a powerful experience for children.

Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any questions about this research and the impact that it has had on our camp program. Thank you.
