Happy New Year from the WRRC!

With the New Year, comes new opportunities for programs and events and the WRRC would like to hear your ideas!

If there is an idea for a program that you feel would be beneficial for the community, we would like to hear about it.

Please feel free to email your ideas to [email protected] for consideration.

Volunteering

Is volunteering one of your New Year resolution's? If so, how about volunteering with the WRRC.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering provides opportunities to learn more about oneself and one’s community. For students and young adults, volunteering can also help provide insight into different career paths that may be of interest as well as helping to develop useful skills. Engaging in volunteering not only positivley impacts oneself but also those in the community.

In order to be able to offer sports programs, workshops, and various child and youth programming within the RM of Whitemouth, the support of volunteers is vital. We cannot run these programs without assistance.

Thank-you for your consideration!

Skip, Hop & Jump: Parent & Child Active Start Program

This is a new program that will certainly get your children up and moving!

Designed for ages 2-5, children will learn body awareness as they relate to the space around them. They will develop balance, agility and coordination as well as their listening and processing skills as an activity leader guides them through various exercises and movement games. They will do balance puzzles, spatial awareness tasks and will stay busy the full class.

For older siblings/children ages 6-12, they will be able to participate in "open gym" where an activity leader will facilitate other fun games and activities.

Parents must be present for the program and are encouraged to be engaged and participate with their children.

Stay tuned to the WRRC website and Facebook as program details (time/date) become finalized!
