Things I found, things I am saving for winter

Hi there!

I found some treasures for you:

How to Make Friends with a Ghost by Rebecca Green

How to Make Friends with a Ghost

How to Make Friends with a Ghost is broken into sections, like "Ghost Activities" and "Ghost Care." It contains silly puns and names as if to prepare you for a ghost-themed party.

The ending stands out from other books in this category because it is a tad dark. Perfect for Halloween reading.

Focus on the Big Picture

This week, I had trouble keeping up with all of my tasks. I have burdened myself with so much work that I cannot keep up if I am sick or not feeling well. I also recognize that not everything I am doing right now is conducive to my long-term goals.

A while back, I heard a piece of advice that stuck with me. But, unfortunately, the source, which I am usually really good at keeping, did not stick.

"Focus on the big picture."

This seems like generic advice, but it is challenging to identify the "bigger picture." It is tough in an age where social media is highly demanding and distracts you from the bigger picture.

How do you find out what the bigger picture is if you haven't already, and how do you focus on it?

Barbara Sher asked similar questions, she said,

"What do you want and what is your obstacle?"

If you can answer those two questions, then your path is clear. After you have responded to them, tell somebody! Maybe they can help you or keep you accountable for it.

What do I want? I want to tell stories. And what is my biggest obstacle? Time to finish the projects that I wish to share.

I know I can make time to tell stories. I need to sort out my priorities and dump things from my professional life that do not contribute to that goal.

I will make changes to the blog, this newsletter, and my social media profiles in the upcoming weeks. I hope you will stick with me through this process.
