Summary

Deep Spring storm this week. Meaning the mountain received anywhere from 2-3 feet followed by blue sky/light wind days. As you'll see from rider reports below...immediately following the storm it was DEEP and powdery and by yesterday (Saturday) the sun was starting to settle it in the less shaded/protected areas. Still great snow to be had, but need to get into the trees or on the North facing slopes to experience more powdery conditions. Next spring storm in the forecast is expected Thursday evening with 5-10" expected overnight with light winds all week.

Rider Reports

3/16/2019 - Pretty good snow in the trees and North slope of the range...like 3 feet and still powdery. In the more open/higher areas the sun and light winds were starting to make it that heavy/wet hero snow...which is still fun and great with the newbies we had along. By first/mid part of the coming week, if the sun stays out, it'll probably be mostly settled with maybe the trees being an exception.

3/14/2019 - We pretty much owned the mountain today thanks to all the road closures. And man was it awesome! We didn't even get 10 miles from the trailer and we emptied our tanks...both physically and fuel wise. 2 feet at the parking lot with more like 3+ feet everywhere as we got higher. So happy the roads were closed and forced us to stay another night!

3/9/2019 - Could be better visibility, but it couldn't get any better on the Powder! Solid 2-3 feet everywhere on the backside (North side). Even in the high elevation/wind blown areas we didn't feel the rocks/stumps like we usually do when crossing those areas.
