After a busy spring season of shows and workshops, capped off by a lovely vacation to the woods and beaches at Olympic National Park, I'm back in the studio and enjoying a peaceful spell of un-pressured creativity.  I will have occasional pop-ups this summer, starting with the Chevy Chase Farmers Market this Saturday July 9th from 9-1, corner of Broad Branch and Northampton St NW in DC.  Below are a few new pieces.

My booth will include my  Ukraine Love fundraiser pendant, which benefits World Central Kitchen's (WCK) work feeding people in and around Ukraine. Each one you purchase for $51 allows me to donate $26 to WCK. Total made, and purchased by you,  So far your purchases have allowed me to donate $940  to WCK.

More Workshops --I have scheduled more Glass Plate and Jewelry Workshops in July and August -- use the more relaxed summer months to explore the joy of glass for yourself! The Jewelry workshops are July 23rd, August 6th and August 20th.  Plates are July 24th, August 7th and August 21st.  Click on the links to sign up, or click here to learn more about the workshops.

And here is something entirely new and exciting.  Hundreds of you, over the past several years, have taken one of my glass plate and jewelry workshops, and some of you have even taken two.  Many of you have expressed interest in learning more, and making more glass.  I'm now offering the opportunity for you to take your glass creativity and skills further with my brand new "Open Studios" where you can create a plate or 2 pieces of jewelry.  You will have access to the materials in my studio,  I will be available for advice and suggestions, and I will fire your pieces for you.

These studio sessions cost $110 and will take place on weekday evenings, from 6:00 to 9:00.  The first Plate Studio will be on Thursday July 28th  and first Jewelry Studio  on Tuesday August 2nd.  (Click links to sign up.)

Help Wanted -- Social Media is not my strength, but I'm working on building my Instagram presence.  So I'm both asking for a favor and offering a small incentive to you for helping me out.  Please follow me on Instagram @joyofglass -- and take $10 off the purchase of any item in my shop (or at Saturday's Farmers Market).  Use coupon code Instagramhelp at checkout.  Thank you!
