Fall is a busy but very exciting time in the recreation world! This is the time for many program registrations, new programs ideas and exciting announcements ! One announcement that the WRRC is very excited about is the return of the Whitemouth 4-H Club! Check out our website, under the 4-H Tab for program details and information. Registrations will be due on September 21, 2018. Secondly, in this newsletter, you will find our Fall 2018 Program Guide! Download the file to see what's new and coming to the area this fall. Community Events Elma's Farmers Market Fridays Time: 3:30-7:00 pm Every Friday (June 8-Sept. 21) Location: Beside the old pool hall (the corner of First Street) $10.00 for space rental Contact Randa at (204) 289-9818. 6th Annual Harvest Party September 8, 2018 Serving up one of the best - home made, locally harvested meals, the Seven Sister Falls Community Centre will be hosting their annual Harvest Party on September 8, 3018. Event includes tasty meal, local - live entertainment, harvest party games, contests & activities. Location: Seven Sister Falls Community Centre. Time: Festivities begin at 3:00 pm / More details to come 41st Annual Heritage Day September 9, 2018 Fit Kids Health Kids / Wellness Displays at Heritage Day Check out our kids fun zone at the Whitemouth Museum's Heritage Day event! Fun games - with balloons, noddles and bean bags - introduce kids to the fundamentals of movement - running, jumping, throwing. Something for everyone - adults will have fun participating with the kids or checking out our display information. Free blood pressure and blood sugar checks will also be available. Walk and Wiener Roast September 25, 2018 Join the WRRC and Two Rivers Senior Resource Council for a walk and wiener roast! Location: Whitemouth Falls Provincial Park Walk starts at 10:30 am You are also welcome to bring your camera as we will be doing a scavenger hunt throughout the park. Elma Community Club Elma community club is selling Grey Cup Pool tickets. Available at the Elma Country Store or through club volunteers. Whitemouth Library Health and Wellness Information from the Interlake-Eastern Regional health Authority Get Better Together - FREE FREE six week program will be offered this fall. Get Better Together is for anyone living with a chronic disease or ongoing health concern who would like to take better control of their health. This program is a licensed version of the highly successful Chronic Disease Self-Management Program at Stanford University Patient Education Centre. Studies show that participants report better overall health status lasting well beyond the program! Dates: Sept. 25 th , Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30 th .
