​Join the Ontario Tourism Innovation Lab and WEtech Alliance on the next Digital Shift session featuring a Zoom-side chat with Shift Experts from Indigenous Tourism Ontario and ORIGIN on their innovative partnership and developing Indigenous tourism experiences in Virtual Reality (VR).

The Digital Shift Series has been made possible with the support of the Ontario Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries, and is open to small businesses in Ontario. There is no cost to attend but space is limited.

Northwest Ontario "Spark" Program Launched!

The Lab and its partners Destination Northern Ontario, Tourism Excellence North, Sunset Country, Superior Country, and Tourism Thunder Bay officially launched the Northwest Ontario "Spark" Mentorships & Grants Program on September 1st.

Northwest Ontario residents, entrepreneurs, small businesses and non-profit organizations are encouraged to come forward with creative ideas that will generate new tourism opportunities, experiences and partnerships in the region. The application deadline is October 9th.

Special Edition Bruce County "Spark" Winners Announced!

This summer, Bruce County, Regional Tourism Organization 7 (BruceGreySimcoe), and the Lab partnered to launch a Special Edition Bruce County "Spark" Mentorships & Grants Program in response to the COVID-19 crisis.  

Tourism businesses in Bruce County submitted applications with ideas on how they could “re-imagine” or “re-tool” their tourism operations and offerings to respond, pivot and adapt to the evolving tourism industry landscape.
