Fall Newsletter

Picture

Okay, I know it is cliché, but I can't believe it is September already! It seems like only yesterday I was talking to authors about setting up their book tours in time for the Christmas shopping season. Wait a minute. That was yesterday!

It's been a very busy summer and we've been hard at work looking for better and more ways to get authors' books into the hands of readers. Check out our book tour add-ons -- social media ads and Authors on iTours.

Also, stop by to say hello to Kimberly Werntz, our social media manager! She's joined our team to take iReads and our books on tour to the next level on Facebook and Instagram. She's the queen of iReads social media advertising!

More and more authors are making their books available for pre-sale. However, getting traction in pre-sales can be difficult without reviews. That's where The iRead Review steps in.

Does your book have a seasonal theme? Like Christmas or maybe a Valentine's Day backdrop. It may be a good fit for one of our upcoming multi-book seasonal/theme spotlight tours.

Don't worry, bloggers! We haven't forgotten about you. We still have plenty of book available for review or features this fall. Scroll to the bottom to see our list of currently open tours and many more tours that will be open soon (like in a couple of days!).

As always, stay safe, healthy, and be kind to each other.

Warmly,

Lauren

Schedule Your Tour for Christmas Book Sales Now!

Picture

As I mentioned, Black Friday and Christmas are right around the corner. Authors are already scheduling their book tours for November and Christmas. The sweet scheduling spot is Friday, Nov 25 (Black Friday) to Friday, December 16.

Here's some tips to keep in mind when scheduling your Christmas Gift Book Tour:

We need 8 weeks to schedule a review tour. This is to allow our bloggers one full month to read your book to prepare their reviews. If you want your review tour to launch the week of Black Friday (Nov 25) then you should schedule and pay for your tour before September 30. (We can fudge with that deadline if the book is a children's book that can be read in a matter of minutes.)

Bloggers' holiday posting schedules fill up fast. If you want to get your book on readers' wish lists, we recommend you schedule your tour as soon as possible. While spotlight tours take less time to coordinate, it will be harder to find room for your book on bloggers' posting schedules. Even if your book is the greatest thing since Christmas cookies, if there is no room on a blogger's schedule, there is no room.

All book tours will end December 16 so that we here at iRead Book Tours can enjoy the holidays with our families. Tour schedule stops will resume on January 9, 2023.

New Book tour Add-On - Increase your Book's Exposure with Social Media Advertising

The primary goal of any book tour is to get the word out far and wide about your book. We have found that paid advertisements on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter will expand exposure of your book to thousands of potential readers beyond iReads and our bloggers' followers. Our social media advertising is particularly beneficial for authors who don't have much social media presence on their own.
Authors can add on our social media advertising for the starting price of $75  for a three-week tour. The ads will run on from iRead Book Tour's accounts on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter during the course of your book tour.

Authors on iTours Interviews

Picture

Authors on iTours is iRead Book Tour's podcast.

A video podcast interview gives readers a chance to meet you "up close and personal." During our interviews, writers reveal behind-the-scenes stories about the inspiration for their books, their motivations, their writing techniques, and other interesting tidbits.

The author receives an mp4 copy of the interview for their own promotional use.

Our author interviews and reviews can be viewed on our website, our YouTube or our Rumble channels. For an additional fee, we will schedule a video author interview in advance of your tour to be uploaded to your tour page and included in your media kit.
