From Our President

Pete Cantor

August was a great month. Very busy at the Jerome Country Club. The bunker on hole number 9 is complete.  Thank you Bart for a good job.  We have decided to concentrate our efforts toward solving the too wet and too dry problems on the course in the hot temperatures.  Bart will be installing wiring and what ever he needs to have more control of the individual sprinkler heads.  It is a hard job to maintain the quality of the course in the summer months and individual sprinkler heads is a step in the right direction. Again thank you to Bart for his conscientious efforts.

Friday night was the last night for the Friday chapman socials.  The chapman season ends with a weekend 36 hole event. The nine hole chapmans are the most fun and always a good time.  Thank you to the Chapman committee for organizing the fun Friday nights.

A great big thank you to Leonard Bay for installing the solar tube lighting in the bathroom on hole 14.  The donated monies from course improvement fund paid for the tubes.  Hope you enjoy the light and again give a big thank you to Leonard for installing them.

Not only is our course in good shape the Country Club is in good shape financially.  We have 411 active members and two memberships for sale by members.

Welcome our new members:
John and Jami Jennings
