Happy Fall!
It's hard to believe that it has been two whole months since I took over operations for iRead Book Tours!
It has been a fun and exciting ride working with Laura, Debra, and the fabulous bloggers supporting such talented authors on virtual book tours.
In recent years, virtual book tours have become an essential part of my book marketing strategy. Book tours are hard work! Sending out review copies of books, writing guest posts, and completing author interviews are not easy tasks.
The hard work is worth it. Through iRead Book Tours, my reader base has expanded above and beyond my expectations as a writer.
Never did I dream how much work a virtual book tour was on the other end--in setting up and coordinating one.
But it's worth it to work with dedicated book-loving bloggers to spread the word to fellow bookworms about magnificent authors and their books.
But it's not all about virtual tours. There's a lot that goes into book promotion. Successful authors keep their ears to the ground to pick up the latest marketing tidbit. Here at iReads, when we find out something helpful to both authors and bloggers, we post it on our Resources for Authors Page, and our Facebook Page as well.
In case you missed it, our latest article reveals the Power of the Editorial Review. The editorial review section of the Amazon book page is not just for big publishers. Read this article for step-by-step directions on how you can post blurbs from your best reviews right there on Amazon so everyone can see them!
Did you know that iRead Book Tours now has a podcast? Check out our Authors on iTours page for the latest interviews with authors on tour, bloggers, and writing and publishing professionals. We talk about writing, publishing, and, of courses, book promotion. You can listen to our podcast on our website or Spotify and other podcast venues.
Also in this newsletter: AUTHORS, are your books available in audiobook? If not, you should think about it. Check out Julie Christie's recent article in the Shreveport Times. A growing number of our bloggers are reviewing audiobooks, and iRead Book Tours does offer audiobook tour packages.
BLOGGERS, in case you missed our emails, we have several book tours open for you to sign up for! Do you know someone in an abusive relationship with an emotional predator? Check out Steven J. Wolhandler's new release. Or maybe you have a family member who is facing that frightening end-of-life journey? If so, it's not too late to sign up for Myra Bennett's review tour. Or, are you just in the mood for a good mystery? We've got two series tours that are open with unlimited stops! All you have to do is sign up and you've got a spot! Check out the open tours section of this newsletter and keep up to date by signing up for notifications when new tours are listed on our current tours page.
