Camp Hike About and Nature Photography Try to capture the beauty of nature! During Camp Hike About and Nature Photography, children will learn the art of nature photography, followed by a hike to a different part of Rock Hollow Woods or the Ephraim Malickson Wildlife Sanctuary adjacent to Rock Hollow Woods. The campers will stop to explore different environmental talk points while hiking and have time for exploration of the area with cameras. Read more & sign up! The Elements of Art in Nature Kindergarteners and 1st graders can learn about and discover The Elements of Art in Nature . Throughout the week campers will learn about each element of art, practice skills using these elements, identify the elements in nature, and create their own works of art focusing on each element using a variety of media. Nature Pre-K Program Enrollment is open for our Nature Pre-K Program for the Fall of 2021, so reserve your spot today! Nestled among 77 acres of Rock Hollow Woods, our Nature Pre-K Program immerses children in the outdoors. Through hands-on discovery and inquiry-based learning, children will explore, discover, and grow with all that nature has to offer. We believe that play is an essential method of learning and are inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach*. Children will be exposed to a wide variety of educational opportunities that encourage self-expression, communication, logical thinking, and problem-solving, all while preparing them for the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical challenges of kindergarten. Our Nature Pre-K Program is appropriate for children ages 4 to 5 (Pre-K.) It will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30, running from September 2021 through May 2022.
