Free Composting Opportunity!

  • Get your favorite local restaurants to participate in this FREE service!
  • How it works: We deliver a 32-gallon tote to your restaurant. You fill up the container with all the compostables generated in your business. We collect and swap out your full container with a fresh container.
  • It's that easy!

Cork Recycling & In Fine Spirits

  • Chicago Conservation Corps (C3) and Edgewater Environmental Coalition (EEC) teamed up with In Fine Spirits, a locally owned spirit store, to establish cork recycling! 
  • Recycling is provided by Terracycle, the company that specializes in recycling difficult materials.

Native Plant Planters Program

  • Starting 2020, these planters have brought over 20+ native plants to local Andersonville business district. 
  • They also have helpful QR codes for facts about the plants and benefits. 
  • Native plants use less water, less harmful pesticides, and bring in less invasive species. For more information, click here!

Plastic Launchpad

  • Take Action! Talk with local businesses and provide flyers to them to reduce plastic waste (#CutOutCutlery and Shedd the Plastic).
  • Then fill out the form on our document with which businesses/restaurants you have talked with so EEC can follow-up.

  • The Edgewater Environmental Coalition wants to hear from and be involved with the business community to advance community sustainability!
