Attention Adults! Come out on February 2nd, 2023 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. and enjoy an evening of mixed media art and relaxing fun at Rock Hollow Woods. In this class, we will learn about the basics of art journaling and mixed media art. We will explore with paints, stencils, stamping, and layering to create dynamic and interesting pieces of art. We will use a simple bookbinding technique to create our own mini art journals as well as create at least one piece of art (more if time permits).

Register for Mixed Media for Adults today! This class is geared towards beginners in mixed media, but all skill levels are welcome.

**This session is BYO. Feel free to bring your own beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and snacks to enjoy.

Toddler Time on the Trail; 9:30-11:00 a.m.

Check out the schedule for our Toddler Time on the Trail program. Interacting with natural environments allows children to learn by doing and experiment with ideas. In nature, children think, question, and make hypotheses which helps to develop inquisitive minds. Whether they’re judging the distance between two rocks before jumping or considering where insects go in the winter, children are constantly thinking when they’re in nature. These experiences offer real, authentic learning like nothing else can. As children take risks, try and fail, and try again, they gain resilience and confidence. Sign up today as these spots get filled quickly!

Many of our Rock Hollow Woods' families participate in the 1,000 Hours Outside Challenge. It's a great opportunity to balance your life with nature, and you'll never regret the benefits you reap and the memories you make along the journey. They offer fun templates to keep track of hours and even have a tracker app this year. Watch the video below or check out more information on their website.

In December we enjoyed a variety of educational programs.

Toddler Time on the Trail, Nature Pre-K, Holiday and Christmas Creations, and Family Winter Wonderland with Santa.
