This week I want to take a minute to focus on documenting the activities you offer to residents. It is important for residents to have structured activities to not only look forward to, but to also keep them engaged and active. Meaningful, person-centered activities are great way to connect with your residents, in a way that goes beyond providing assistance with ADLs.
As a reminder, licensors will be checking your activity logs to verify you've documented your activities. It’s always a good idea to quantify the amount of time in minutes and hours spent on each activity in a way that’s easy for people to compute. This ensures you can easily show you're offering each resident at least six hours of meaningful activities per week.
