Mother's Day is May 9 in the USA, so what better time to celebrate all the moms that have taught us to sew or quilt, shared their love for color, and helped us become who we are.
I learned to sew with my mom when I was 8 years old. We sewed on a Singer Featherweight that made perfect stitches as we created skirts, bags, placemats and lots of my clothes. I still have that machine!
I learned to quilt, then taught my mom. I have many of the quilts she made, including a special one she made just for me. I have great memories of the times we spent together at the sewing machine.
Did you learn to sew or quilt from your mom? Let's repay the favor with something special just for her.

Here's just a few of our patterns that I think Mom would love. Any of these can be finished in time for Mother's Day. Choose the pattern that you think Mom would like best, add your favorite fabric and stitch up a memory for her and for you.
Let's celebrate Mom with warm hug and a new quilt, placemats or a tablerunner.
