Team 7373 is excited to have the opportunity to compete at the FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas. As the competition approaches, the team is working to prepare by making modifications to the robot and participating in outreach events. The World Championship will take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, from April 15-18.

Reflections from the State Championship

Team 7373 Carbon Fiber

At the State Championship, Team 7373 went undefeated in the robot game, as they worked to have consistent autonomous runs and an effective strategy. As a result, the team was able to enter the semifinals as the first seed in their division. Team 7373 won the robot game as captain of the winning alliance. Outside of the robot matches, team members presented their outreach, engineering documentation, and robot design to judges. These actions led to Team 7373 winning the Inspire Award. The team’s achievements allow them to advance in the top two spots to the World Championship in Houston, Texas.

Chick-fil-A Distribution Center Tour

Team 7373 and Team 11364 were able to visit a Chick-fil-A distribution center that was in the final phases of construction. Through this tour, team members had the chance to learn about implementing core values into every aspect of what we do. The team also learned that problems are inevitable, so we must learn effective ways to overcome them and use them to improve the work that we complete as a team. The team members were invited to the tour by Choate Construction, the commercial contracting company in charge of the project. At the tour, team members were given an assignment by Choate Construction to continue learning about site planning and project management. The team will have the opportunity to present their project to Mr. Moultrie, the Executive Project Manager for Choate Construction, and continue the relationship with Choate Construction on March 19th. Thank you, Mr. Moultrie and everyone at Choate Construction!
