Tipperary Hospital Cancels Clinics

Outpatient Departments at South Tipp General Hospital will be reducing the numbers of clinics with effect from Monday next, March 16th.

Some specific clinics will continue but all elective surgery there is cancelled from Monday. Hospital staff will contact all involved.

“Chambers are an intrinsic part of their communities around the country and many of our chambers and their members already know some of those who have been affected by the virus and are deeply saddened by the loss of life which has already occurred. And like everyone, our members are concerned for their future and the prospect that is before us.

Many small business and the self-employed have had their work cancelled for the foreseeable future, while retailers around the country have been feeling tighter trading conditions since last week, and the hospitality sector in some parts of the country are facing cancellation rates upward of 60-70%. In parts of the country where Covid-19 first took hold, businesses are already operating in dire trading conditions.

County Tipperary Skillnet is fully supportive of the Government’s efforts to effectively address and limit the spread of COVID-19 and to safeguard the protection of public health and that of our stakeholders. 
County Tipperary Skillnet management team are continuing to work and are available to discuss any queries that our businesses or trainees have regarding our scheduled training programmes and supports for businesses. 
In support of this national effort, County Tipperary Skillnet has postponed its public training courses until 29th March 2020. 
County Tipperary Skillnet will continue to take bookings for programmes commencing in April 2020
