Students will learn the ins and outs of working with clay, honing their skills and techniques with this versatile medium. They'll explore various clay tools, firing methods, and more. Throughout the week, students will have the opportunity and creative freedom to work on hand-building or wheel-throwing projects. They'll deepen their understanding of function versus form and will be encouraged to think outside the box as they develop both fine and gross motor skills. We love when science meets art. Pre-K Our pre-k students truly embraced the forest theme during spring break camp by creating pressed flower and wood necklaces. Those tiny hands can make some truly magical things! Our pre-k campers had a blast during spring break, crafting these beautiful pressed flower masterpieces. ASAP Art in the Dark We also wanted to share some highlights from our recent " Art in the Dark " party! This fun-filled event allowed our families to create, dance, and enjoy each other's company while exploring their artistic sides. We transformed our Dupont space into a black light room and let everyone's imaginations run wild with glow-in-the-dark paint. We deeply value the connections we create with our students and their families. Events like "Art in the Dark" bring our community closer together, reminding us that we're not just members, but a big, creative family! Tulip Valley Farm We are delighted to share some special moments from our recent student field trip to Tulip Valley Farm , located at 15245 Bradshaw Rd, Mt Vernon. Our students had an amazing time interacting with farm animals and learning about tulips! During the visit, the farmer introduced the kids to Petunia the cow and two pigs. The students had the opportunity to feed the pigs and pick dandelions to feed to the cow. They also enjoyed a tour of the fields, where they learned about the history and growing cycle of tulips. As a special treat, each student got to pick 3 tulips to take home. Molly captured some fantastic photos of everyone during the trip.
