Pride! Respect! Responsibility! Pine Ridge PTO Newsletter December 20, 2018 Happy Holidays, Ranger Families! This month sure has flown by! We are wrapping up 2018 with class parties tomorrow from 2:30-3:30pm. Hope to see many of you there! As part of our winter celebrations, our little Rangers will be packaging snack and breakfast packs for local kids who face food insecurity through Hand2Hand. Be sure to send in the items you may have committed to provide for your child’s class so that we can meet our goal of providing 1000 snack and breakfast packs. Thank you for your support of this service opportunity! If you are sticking around town over break, bring your kids over to Grand Rapids Gymnastics on Friday, January 4, 1-3pm, for open gym for Pine Ridge families. It’s a great opportunity for kids to see their classmates over break. The cost is $10/child and parents DON’T have to stay (unless you are bringing a sibling under the age of 3). My boys love this event! Big thanks to GRG for hosting it again this year! Please take a look at some of the current and upcoming volunteer opportunities. We are busy looking ahead to the Ranger Breakfast and Carnival and need volunteers. Have a wonderful break with your family! [email protected] . Art Room : Mr. Donohoe could use some help in the art room this year. You can volunteer to help during your child’s art time or at your convenience. Sometimes Mr. Donohoe will have specific projects for you to work on, and other times you will be an extra set of hands helping with the class. art room sign-up UPCOMING EVENTS! Winter Celebrations will be held Friday, December 21, 2:30-3:30 in individual classrooms. Winter Break, begins as soon as school lets out on December 21!! School resumes on January 7. Enjoy! Half Days of School : Both Thursday, January 17, and Friday, January 18, are half days of school. School is dismissed at 11:55am. No School/MLK Day : There is no school on Monday, January 21 in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Ranger Breakfast : This annual event will be moved from December to February this year. “Give Your Sweetheart the Morning Off” will be held February 9th.
