Wholeness is the goal [of life], but wholeness does not mean perfection.

St. Francis Animal Blessing

Sunday, October 6, 4pm

Each October, near the Feast Day of St. Francis (Oct. 4) we invite you to bring your pets for a blessing . St. Francis of Assisi (1181-1226) had the marvelous ability of seeing every living thing as a beautiful gift from God. He called the sun, the moon, and all the creatures of the earth his brothers and sisters. In honor of his feast day, we bless our beloved and faithful friends. This includes a walk through the woods, a short blessing service, animal-themed snacks for the humans and treats for the pets. If your pet is not able to travel, consider bringing a photo.
