ITAT HIGH SCHOOL SPOTLIGHT: PINEVIEW

Here is a glimps at what Pineview's ITAT has been up to

Homecoming Week

Our Island teens joined fellow clubs in painting school windows. Names of clubs were not allowed to be painted but they found a way to still add their islander touch.

Working Tailgate parties with purpose

Selling water bottles presented the perfect opportunity for speaking to those that purchased.  Our ITAT provided education on tobacco prevention and gave all who purchased one of our fantastic ITAT brochures.  ITAT made the most of tailgage parties. ,What a great way to be assertive! We are so impressed with our pineview ITAT!

Club Rush Week

What a successful club rush week for our Island Teens Advocacy Teams whose motto is Any Race, Any Face and a Life Is Worth Living message. Thirty two members showed up to Pineview's first ITAT meeting of the school year.  What a great start!

EXCITING NEWS: Showing lots of MOVEMENT! Here is a conversation from our Pineview ITAT advisor, Caryl Curtis to the Queen Center's Executive Director, Joyce Ah You

"The Out of Darkness Suicide Prevention walk is this Saturday. My ITAT kids really want to be a part of it. Our HOPE squad kids and Student Council were looking into it as well. I just got out of a meeting with the counselors. The unanimous decision is to register as a school, not specific clubs, as we want to show unity and solidarity. I told them about my conversation with you and they were all over it. The counselors are naming our school team Pine View Life is Worth Living. They are saying it is sponsored by HOPE squad, Student Council and ITAT. We are inviting everyone in the student body to join us. Our ITAT president is going to take a banner we can carry that says "ITAT Life is Worth Living."
