RAE: The biggest vibe this week was getting absolutely put on game in pool by the Umahmi head chef himself Tyler. Though having some working knowledge of the game, Ty really said CLASS WAS IN SESSION, and showed us the 101 on follow through, front and back spin, as well as how to read the table to find your optimal angle for a bank shot. Under his tutelage, I hope to maybe someday live up to my 8ball moniker. | |
IAN: Gotta be honest here, Ty was Beautiful Mind-ing us the whole sesh. I truly felt like I unlocked a different part of my brain having him as teacher and teammate. I hit shots that I've never considered, shots that I never knew were possible. He changed my whole form! I: Ever since I won my pair of Wales Bonner Sambas via raffle (I swear I'm not a sneakerhead!), I've been looking for a simple black pair. When the announcement of legendary skater Gino Iannucci trading in the 'check' for '3 stripes' dropped, I was ecstatic to see which classic adidas model he'd flip. Lo and behold it was the extremely popular Samba silhouette that you literally cannot find in stores anywhere. I had even travelled all the way to Europe in hopes of finding a pair!
Happy to say I've finally got my hands on these last week from an undisclosed shop as I need them to remain anonymous for now. Especially if they continue to stock hard to find models. Apologies in advance.

I: A housing change is upon us (me). For the past few weeks, I've been looking for a new place and it's gotta be one of the most time consuming processes I've ever participated in. I've looked at 14 places in 2 weekends, and had hoped that maybe I'd like 1 of them. Alas, even that was too much to hope for. For every listing that I see that holds potential, upon true viewing IRL, I can see distinct reason as to why these units have been on the market for 60+ days. When people tell you some things are just too good to be true, believe that!
Realtors really know the angles and how to brighten up a place! Because when I went to a unit that I had extremely high hopes for, I was met with utter disgust at the state of the place. I'm talking about a rusted out heating unit, track marks, lifted laminate planks, PISS STAINS! For a place that was posted to be 'newly renovated', I felt bamboozled to have even requested a viewing of said place to my realtor! I had been had and I couldn't regain my dignity. That is until I send her another 15 units to see next week.
At this rate I'm gonna have to make a TikTok account, just to post on real estate tok for more expedient results.
