Dear Friends of the Belmont Greek Festival,

You asked for even more of your favorite Greek food, and we listened!

This year on Labor Day weekend, even though we are sad we cannot host our full Festival, we are delighted to announce that we will offer an expanded "Take N Bake Version 20.21" program with additional delicious Greek entrees, frozen and ready to cook at home, freshly-baked pastries, and by popular demand, warm, luscious loukoumades and scrumptious hot gyros!

That's right, along with our spectacular spanakopita (filo stuffed with spinach and cheese), yummy youvetsi (lamb shanks and orzo), palate-pleasing pastitsio (Greek lasagna), and other entrees you scooped up last year, you'll be able to order our most-requested item, mouth-watering moussaka (succulent eggplant and ground meat topped with Bechamel sauce), and several other amazing Festival dishes.

Passionate for pastries? We'll again offer our breath-taking baklava (filo and nuts drenched in syrup)and "killer" koulourakia (butter-based, hand-twisted cookies), and we'll add our marvelous melomakarona (vegan cookies drenched with honey and topped with nuts).

Our famous loukoumades will be made just minutes (or even seconds!) before you pick them up. Often referred to as "golden puffs of heaven," these crisp, golden fried donut holes topped with sweet syrup and nuts are the very ones that you can never get enough of at our Festivals!

They're the perfect topper after you inhale our euphoric gyros, thin slices of seasoned grilled meat with tomatoes, onions, and our famous tzatziki sauce, all stuffed into a tender pita pocket.

Feeling hungry yet? So are we! Hold on just a little while longer.

We will accept your pre-paid orders from mid-July to mid-August through out secure website, www.belmontgreekfestival.com.

You'll pick up your tantalizing treats at Holy Cross Church on Labor Day weekend, Saturday, September 4, through Monday, September 6. For those who can't make it that weekend, you may pick-up frozen entrees and baked pastries the following weekend.

While we will miss having you for our full Festival, we're very excited about "Take N Bake Version 20.21," and we hope you are, too! Same delicious Festival recipes, prepared by our sensational volunteer cooks.

We hope to see you Labor Day weekend! Opa!
