Living Water

A friend in NZ recently asked me to describe Sydney air... "Well, it's like we are living in an oven set to fan bake, the casserole is burning and it's possible that the Swedish chef is in charge!" Burning casseroles aside, this month's illustration has prayerfully helped me to listen to what Jesus said about living water.

New Saint Card Designs

Thankfully we have been able to create two new Saint card designs in December. St Paul of the Cross and St Mél have gone out to two wonderful schools in Sydney this week. Surprisingly we have printed approximately 8,000 cards in 2019, plus sent out countless small orders. Thank you very much for helping us serve God through our prayer cards. January 2020 has started with 1850 cards so far...

Flowing Silk art - easy & fun!

'Weavesilk' is downloadable as an App or available for free on your laptop. It's a creative new way to relax and create prayerful mandalas or wallpapers. With the swish of a finger, silk strands mingle, fuse and weave together. Perhaps use this as a prayer or create something while listening to music, scripture or psalms.

Blessings for 2020

This is a great new video to start the year with. Experience the serenity of six blessings for everyday life in a new short video, 'Blessings'. The gentle and wise voice of Br. David Steindl-Rast, helps us to remember the sacredness of every moment. Great to use as a prayer for yourself or perhaps for a group or staff prayer.

Food For Thought

"The universe unfolds in God, who fills it completely. Hence, there is a mystical meaning to be found in a leaf, in a mountain trail, in a dewdrop, in a poor person’s face.[159] The ideal is not only to pass from the exterior to the interior to discover the action of God in the soul, but also to discover God in all things. Saint Bonaventure teaches us that “contemplation deepens the more we feel the working of God’s grace within our hearts, and the better we learn to encounter God in creatures outside ourselves”.[160]  ~ Laudato Si (233)

---

“We must restore hope to young people,
help the old, be open to the future, spread love. Be poor among the poor. We need to include the excluded and preach peace.”
~ Pope Francis
