All registered entrants must wear a unique 'bib number' during the event. This is personalised to you, with your name printed on it and includes your all important chip timing tag which is pre-attached.
You have two options for getting your hands on your bib number...
-
Collect from Fylde Coast Runners shop at Unit 1a Hoo Hill Estate, Blackpool FY3 7HJ. We are open Monday to Friday from 10.00am until 4.00pm. (Closed Easter Weekend).
-
Pick up on race weekend. The collection points will be open from 9.00am until 2pm on Saturday and from 7.30am until 9.15am on Sunday on Blackpool's Middle Walkway. See venue info below.
If you have selected and paid for the "Post My Bib" option, then there is no need to register on the day of your event. You just need to make your way to your respective start line.
When you have your bib number, there is a contact/medical form on the back which needs to be completed before you start. When you're ready it needs to be pinned to the FRONT of your running top, with the silver timing tag visible. Don't bend, remove, break or stick any pins through your tag as it won't work!

Could wheelchair athletes make their way to the front of the start lines. You will be started first and given a head start. Buggy Runners and Nordic walkers need to start at the back of the running field.
IMPORTANT - Marathon & Half Marathon Starts - There are TWO starting lanes. Marathon runners line up facing South looking towards Blackpool Tower. Half Marathon runners line up facing North with their backs to Blackpool Tower. You must ensure you are in the correct lane, this is your responsibility.
IMPORTANT - Marathon & Half Marathon Split Point - Just after the 13 Mile point in the marathon, the two events split. You need to be in the correct coned lane (marathon to the left for lap 2, and half marathon and finish to the right). It will all be clearly signed and marshalled, but please be aware it is ultimately up to you to go the correct way.

Fully staffed aid stations are available on the routes supplying 500ml bottled water. You will pass these stations as detailed below. Please use the bins located approximately 100 metres after the aid stations to deposit your used bottle.
Portable toilets and mens urinals are conveniently located next to the start and finish area and will be available throughout the day. DO NOT leave your visit until the last minute as they will become notoriously busy. With that in mind, when using the toilets be as quick as possible to keep the queues down.
There are also public toilets available on the route. These units require a 20p coin to operate, so would suggest taping a few coins to your bib number in case you need to use them. See the route maps for their locations.

You will find a baggage storage marquee located next to the collection points. Use this facility to store essential items you will need for when you have finished your event. Do not leave any valuables as this area is not manned.
We have a key drop facility available throughout both days. Use your empty envelope after collecting your bib number to place your keys in and hand to a member of staff at the collection points for safekeeping whilst you are competing.
The expert team from Remote Medical Services will be stood too for the duration of all the events. There will be paramedic responders on their bikes patrolling the courses and ambulance facilities at the start and finish areas. Should you need any assistance then alert a medic or marshal.
Being a resort town, Blackpool is full of car parks, all with varying charges and facilities. There are too many to mention, so we've cheated and used Parkopedia to help you. Click the button!
On-street parking is also available but be careful not to park across driveways, hotel entrances etc.
All finishers will receive their beautiful blingtastic medal at the finish line along with a commemorative t-shirt for Marathon & Half Marathon finishers. Individual prizes will be awarded in the following categories;

If for any reason, you cannot join us on the day, let us know at least 7 days before, and we can defer your entry to the following year or transfer your place over to a friend. If you make any changes within 7 days there is a charge of £5 to cover the costs of your printed bib number and assigned timing tags (which we have to basically throw away). We do not issue refunds.
