WHAT'S NEW: our first newsletter!

Promoting Project Bedrock

We've been busy promoting Project Bedrock and teaching people about the importance of finding more creative solutions to regenerate Texas karst country. We started with the release of our awareness video in August (funded by the Alice C. Tyler Perpetual Trust and sponsored by GEAA), and then gave presentations, handed out information, and made new connections at numerous events and meetings such as the Meadows Climate Conference, Hydro-Geo Workshop, Hill Country Alliance Summit, Common Ground Austin Film Premiere, and Wild Talk: Stewardship Connections. We want to thank Travis Audubon, Wild Spirit Wild Places, Meadows Center for Water and the Environment, Hill Country Headwaters Conservative Initiative, Hill Country Conservation Network, Roam Ranch, Kiss the Ground, Austin Woman's Club, Save Barton Creek Association, and Hill Country Alliance for all the work you do to increase awareness and stewardship of this land we all love.

Call for Start-up Volunteers

We know you're excited to help us once we get funding for programs and events, but right now we need volunteers to help us with start-up business, social media, and fundraising needs. We also need your enthusiasm to help the word about Project Bedrock and encourage others to join our Texas karst country community. Contact us at [email protected] if you have special start-up skills or you can connect us with someone who does.

Our First Board of Directors

For the last year, the Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance has acted as our fiscal sponsor and board of directors. Our first step to becoming a stand-alone 501(c)3 was to build our own board of directors. Over the last few months we met with a number of qualified individuals. We now have four amazing individuals with the expertise, knowledge, and connections we need.
