As we approach American Thanksgiving, I hope and trust that you and your loved ones are healthy, safe and well, both physically and emotionally.

It's no secret that there are real, tangible benefits to practicing gratitude, and with Thanksgiving right around the corner, we have a chance to pause and reflect. According to Psychology Today, expressing our gratitude to others is associated with increased levels of energy, optimism, and empathy--all things we could use more of these days.

So that's our focus this week at One Schoolhouse... making space for gratitude. Encouraging and instilling acts of gratitude in our schools can help develop a greater sense of community and belonging for both our students and faculty.

Share your gratitude in our pulse survey; read what my team is grateful for in this week's blog; and join Sarah and Peter for our academic leaders webinar with special guest Rebecca Plona, one of our One Schoolhouse Psychology teachers.

Even in a year full of unprecedented challenges, we should still be proud of our successes and grateful for our efforts as a community.

Question of the week: What are you most grateful for about your school's community this year?
