Dear PVSD Families,

Thank you for your patience, grace, and partnership during this challenging school year. As we move into the last quarter of the school year, we would appreciate any feedback that could help our teachers, staff, and administration better support your student. Please complete one survey for each of your children in the District on or before Mon, March 8 at 5 pm. The survey should take about 10 minutes or less. We will review your input and use it to support continued improvements and to plan for the future.

Here is the survey link: https://forms.gle/27TWbKWLJtLJ9i7w6.

Thank you,

4TH QUARTER LEARNING MODEL

1st, 2nd and 3rd grade parents please email Ms. Hoveland if you are planning to change your child’s learning model for the fourth quarter.

TK/K parents will be receiving a message about the 4th quarter schedule from Ms. Hoveland.

VIRTUAL ASSEMBLY

The week of March 15th, the Traveling Lantern Theatre Company is coming to Ormondale virtually to perform one of its popular, interactive plays for children.  Traveling Lantern's mission is to bring great stories to children, to draw them into an active theater experience, to excite their minds and to tickle their imaginations.  Traveling Lantern has been educating and entertaining children nationwide since 1985, and has performed at PVSD several times in the past.

This year, the students will watch "My Mother The Astronaut - To the moon and beyond!”.  The setting of the play is as follows - Aquarius' mom is an astronaut and today is "Take your child to work day".  Aquarius can't wait to go to NASA and find out what it's like to be in space!  They visit Mission Control where she meets scientists and engineers who show her what they do and she learns all about space travel. Her imagination blasts off and she dreams of incredible journeys through the cosmos!

SECOND GRADE T-SHIRT ORDER

Our second-graders are ready to order their garden shirts. Please contribute $16 for your child, this will help our farmers look the part as they have their very own virtual farmers market. Be sure to select the correct size for your little farmer. This is a one-time-only order, so don't delay. The order deadline is Friday, March 5th.

Find the link to order your t shirt below:

ART TO REMEMBER

Guess what? We are extending the Art to Remember fundraiser until April 2, 2021.

Most teachers have uploaded the children's artwork onto the site, be sure to take a look. And remember, you can also upload any piece of artwork from home - even that precious piece from preschool that you want to commemorate! You can also upload multiple pieces of art (and for younger children - simply use your PVSD child’s portal).

You can select a piece of artwork from home and upload it by going to https://arttoremember.com/school/66XDGZ

and following these instructions:

  1. Go to the website listed above and enter your child’s first and last name and click “Search”
  2. From the list of search results, find your child’s name with “Spring2021” listed under it and click “Upload”/ Or if your child has already submitted artwork click on their picture
  3. Click “Choose a File” and select the piece of artwork you’d like to upload
  4. Edit artwork if necessary. Artwork will appear exactly as uploaded so please make sure you have any background cropped out
  5. Click “Next”
  6. Enter additional details (optional) and click “Finish”
  7. You’ll then have options to upload additional artwork for the same child, upload artwork for a different child, or view all of the artwork in your gallery. You can click on any of those options, or if you are ready to shop, click “Done”
  8. This will take you to the shop page where you can shop products
  9. At checkout, you can enter a password to create an account and save the artwork to your personal family art gallery!

These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school. Have fun creating and shopping!
