Our Reimagining Policing/Police Department Master Plan Report Is Here!​

We are pleased to share Growing Up Boulder and partner, MAYAMOTION HEALING’s, “Reimagining Policing” report--the result of several months engaging diverse young people, ages 8-24, in imagining how public safety can look in Boulder, CO.  

Through our partnership with MAYAMOTION HEALING, we used a “healing-centered” approach with our young people (Don’t know what that is?  Read our report!).  The GUB/MMH report represents child and youth input from Engagement Window 1, which is part of a multi-step engagement process with the Boulder community.  The City of Boulder then produced a summary report​ comprised of input from all participants in Engagement Window 1.

GUB will return to young people over the next year for Engagement Windows 2 and 3 as the City and community refine the values, focus areas, and strategies for Reimagining Policing and the Boulder Police Department Master Plan.  Stay tuned for upcoming developments!
