Adventure is Unpredictable….From the Director

Dear Leaders, Parents, Friends & Alumni,

The Covid-19 crisis is something that none of us have experienced before and hopefully never will again. While we all face uncertainty in our lives I am reminded that the Boy Scouts of America has endured for over 100 years and emerged stronger from other National and World crisis. The Outdoor Program has been the backbone of the Scouting movement and that will not change. When we get to the other side of Covid-19, America will need Scouting and we will embrace the Outdoors and Camping with an entire new level of appreciation.

  • So where are we at right now? The Connecticut Rivers Council Outdoor Program team and the Webster Camp Staff are moving ahead with planning for #SummerCamp2020. We will be constantly monitoring the situation and will adjust as necessary to ensure the safety and security of our Summer Campers.
  • The Connecticut Rivers Council has extended the deadline to apply for a Campership until May 15th
  • The Connecticut Rivers Council has eliminated the deadline for Summer Camp Early Bird deposits.
  • Off-Season Weekend Camping has been suspended indefinably and is reevaluated on a regular basis as conditions change.
  • Lastly, We were very excited that JNW was featured camp in the March 2020 edition of Boy's Life Magazine

Thank you for your continued Support and I look forward to returning to #CampLife
