| Gold Bar Launch |​

Mining giant B2Gold solidified their investment into Rhino Conservation in Namibia by donating a massive 1000 ounces of gold, representing N$25 million, towards assisting communities that support Rhino conservation. At a recent Stakeholder Gala dinner, the first B2GOLD RHINO Gold bars were made available for sale to invited stakeholders.  Sindana Communications enlisted dB Audio Namibia to provide technical support for the high-profile launch at Droombos on 30 January 2020. | Standard Bank Leadership Conference |​

Standard Bank Namibia kicked off 2020 with their Annual Leadership Conference on 24 January.  dB Audio Namibia supported SBN’s Marketing department and Wendy’s Creations Events with the conference itself at the Windhoek Country Cub, and a “Reach For The Stars” themed Mark of Excellence Awards dinner that same evening at Droombos.

| New Year’s Festivities |​

Team dB entered 2020 by supporting Mammoth Events with two new year’s eve events in Windhoek and Swakopmund respectively. At the Avani Windhoek, for end-client Jameson, and in Swakopmund for one of the country’s biggest new year’s events at Tiger Reef.  (Pictures: Maja Carstens)

| Chinese Spring Festival | ​

The Chinese community in Namibia marked their annual Spring Festival on 15 January 2020 with a joyous celebration at Windhoek’s Safari Hotel.  dB Audio Namibia supported the Chinese Embassy in Namibia with all technical event support. ​

| Oshikandela ‘Namibia’s Most Loved Object’ | ​

Namibian Designer Ndeshi Fikameni from Afroprint Line was voted by the public as the overall winner of the first ever ‘Namibia’s Most Loved Object’ campaign in collaboration with Oshikandella, for her creation of an Eco Fashion Shopping Bag.  dB Audio Namibia supported Namibia Dairies and Sindana Communications at a cosy event on 13 December 2019 where Ndeshi was announced as the winner from 4 finalists in this inaugural competition. On 3 February 2020 some of Team dB attended a presentation by SACIA – the Southern African Communications Industries Association – to find out more about the body’s professional designations to industry professionals working in the live events and broadcast sectors, and how SACIA aims to promote the adoption of professional standards and ethical business practices within the larger communications industry.​

The entire dB Audio Namibia team enthusiastically participated in a team building day on 5 February.  Presented by Teambuild Namibia, we learned more about each other and the value of cooperation during various fun and informative activities. | Mean to Clean |

Team dB kicked off our Mean to Clean activities for 2020 by focusing on our home environment in Windhoek’s Reger street area.  We collected several bags of rubbish which was properly disposed of at official City of Windhoek dumping sites.
