Summer Concert Series:

U.S. Army Blues

Thursday, July 6 

7 p.m.–8 p.m.

Join us on July 6 from 7 p.m.–8 p.m., as the U.S. Army Blues perform at the National Museum of the Marine Corps! The U.S. Army Blues, part of the United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” is the premier jazz ensemble of the U.S. Army. This 18-piece ensemble became an official element of the Army Band in 1972.                                                                 
The free summer concerts are held outdoors on the entry plaza of the National Museum of the Marine Corps, weather permitting, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Guests are also encouraged to enjoy extended hours inside the Museum before the concert begins.

 Tun Tavern will be open until 6 p.m. and the Museum and store will be open until 7 p.m.                                                                                          
*Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on Museum grounds. Personal sales or transactions are not permitted on Museum grounds.

This event is hosted by the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation.

Featured at the Museum...

As we celebrate Independence Day this month, we highlight an artifact that dates back to our nation's founding. This engraved powder horn, with definitive maritime connection, dates back to 1776. The powder horn can be seen in the Defending the New Republic Gallery  at the Museum.
